The programme
Profit Pals operates text messaging for home service businesses (for example plumbing
companies). Messages relate to service requests and appointments: replies to
your questions, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, notices when an appointment is
moved or cancelled, a request for feedback after a visit, and a follow-up if you asked about
a job but didn't finish booking.
This is not a marketing programme. We do not send promotions, offers, or advertising by text.
How you join
You join by texting the business's published phone number to ask about service. Sending that
first message is your request to be contacted by text about it.
We never buy, rent, or upload phone number lists. The only way to receive our messages is to
text the business first.
How often we message
Message frequency varies with your request. A typical service request involves a short
back-and-forth to book, then a confirmation, a reminder before the visit, and one message
afterwards.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages; your
mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop immediately. STOPALL,
UNSUBSCRIBE, END and QUIT also work. You will receive
one confirmation from the carrier and then nothing further.
To start again, reply START or UNSTOP.
Note: texting the word cancel is treated as a request to cancel your
appointment, not to unsubscribe — because that is almost always what people mean.
To stop messages, use STOP.

Reply HELP or INFO to any message for the business name, hours and
opt-out instructions. You can also email

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and
supported carriers may change.
Emergencies
Do not use text messaging to report an emergency. If you smell gas, suspect a
gas leak, or anyone is in danger, leave the building and call 911 or your gas company from a
safe place.
Privacy
Your mobile number is used only to provide service to the business you contacted. We do not
sell, rent, or share mobile numbers with third parties for their marketing. See the

Automated replies
Replies may be generated by an AI assistant, which can schedule, move, and cancel
appointments. It does not quote prices or diagnose faults. A person at the business can read
the conversation and take over at any time.
