Privacy Policy

Profit Pals provides an AI receptionist that answers messages and books appointments on
behalf of home service businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we
never do with it.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information — including mobile phone
numbers — with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Ever.
Phone numbers and message content are used only to provide service to the business you
contacted, and are never shared with other businesses we work with.
Who is responsible for your information
When you message a business that uses Profit Pals, that business decides what
happens with your information. We process it on their behalf as their service provider.
If you want your information corrected or deleted, contact the business directly, or reach
us at privacy@profit-pals.com and we will pass
the request on.
What we collect

We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, bank details, government
identification, or health information. Please don't send them.
How we use it
- To answer your message and schedule, move, or cancel your appointment
- To send you a booking confirmation, a reminder, and a request for feedback afterwards
- To follow up if you asked about a job but didn't finish booking
- To alert the business owner when something needs a person
- To keep records the business needs to run its own operations
We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Automated conversations
Your messages are answered by an AI system. It can schedule, move, and cancel appointments.
It is not permitted to quote prices, diagnose faults, or make guarantees. A human at the
business can read any conversation and take over at any time, and urgent situations are
escalated to a person immediately.
Who we share it with
Only the business you contacted, and the service providers that make the system work. Each
is bound to use the information solely to provide their service to us:
- Twilio — text message delivery
- SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery
- Anthropic — the AI that reads and drafts replies
- Supabase — database hosting
- Render — application hosting
- Google — calendar scheduling, where the business uses Google Calendar
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect someone's safety.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Information is stored in the United States. Conversations, appointments, and contact details
are retained while the business remains our customer and for a reasonable period afterwards
for their records, unless deletion is requested sooner.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with reputable providers.
Access to customer data is restricted to the business it belongs to; the system is built so
that one business cannot see another's conversations. No system is perfectly secure, and we
do not claim otherwise.
Your choices
- Stop text messages: reply STOP to any message. See the
SMS Terms.
- Stop emails: reply and ask, or contact the business.
- Access or delete your information: contact the business, or email us and
we will pass it on.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information,
including access, correction, deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for
exercising them.
Children
This service is for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and post the new
version here.
